Group LB at the International Atomic Energy Agency training facility in Obninsk, Russia

On May 28th an IAEA flagship training facility was officially opened on the grounds of Inter-Regional Special Educational Center in the city of Obninsk, Russian Federation. The new facility will train and certify IAEA member countries’ experts in all aspects of nuclear enterprises physical protection systems.

During opening ceremony participants have been acquainted with new educational laboratories and classrooms. As part of the presentation, the Group LB holding’s physical perimeter protection barriers and vibration-based perimeter intrusion system were demonstrated.

Participating in the ceremony Deputy Director and Head of Department of Nuclear Safety and Security of IAEA Mr. Tomihiro Taniguchi in conversation with Vice-president of Group LB Mr. Mike Sutovsky has expressed interest in Holding’s solutions. Separately Mr. Taniguchi has noted high professionalism of Holding’s experts who managed under a very short period of time to carry out all obligations taken for equipping the center’s grounds.

As part of conversation the subject of cooperation between Group LB and IAEA Department of Nuclear Safety and Security in the area of physical perimeter protection of nuclear enterprises has been discussed.
