Group LB Russia completed installation of perimeter security system at the "Ivanovo-South" International Airport.

Group LB Russia completed the first stage of reconstruction of the "Ivanovo-Yuzhny" International Airport. The perimeter security system includes engineering fence and intrusion detection means as well as video surveillance system based of POP-300 thermal cameras which allows for 24-hour video surveillance.

The length of the perimeter of the "Ivanovo-Yuzhny" International Airport is 14,5 km. The installed system provides 100% detection of penetration attempts and has no false alarms. Similar systems are already installed and work efficiently in the David Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv and "Domodedovo" International Airport in Moscow.

The official opening ceremony of the "Ivanovo-Yuzhny" International Airport was held on June 15, 2008 with the participation of the governor of Ivanovo region Mikhail Menya and the head of the Moscow’s transport and communication department Leonid Lipsits.

"Much work was done during the course of reconstruction of the airport. Aviation does not tolerate hack-work. Everything should be done on the conscience, because we are talking first of all about the safety of the people" - said at the opening ceremony Leonid Lipsits.
